Imaginary Maps 2015 - 2016

Imaginary maps embody intuitive impressions and visual notations drawn from imagined spaces looked from above (plan-views/macro) and the organic structures of microbiological environments.

These abstract imaginary maps are produced through repetition and almost a meditative state, which tends to empty the mind. Repetitive forms and specific marks create patterns that flow one to another and, despite their different types of shapes, they coexist on the flat-map surface of the paper. Similar to mosaics they are made from the assemblage of small shapes and they function within a unified interconnected community.
